Church growth should never be about numbers! It should be about the quality of the souls in its members!
In my opinion the more quantity of numbers the less quality of discipleship. Build the members of the church before you build the membership!
Disciple the babes in Christ with the Word of God that they may be able to grow in grace and be able to recognize and reject the heresy that runs so prevalent in the world today.
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21-23
Not everyone that makes a profession of Faith is saved (I speak from personal past experience).
